 At ChildsPlay, we make the most of every playful situation. Offering Music Together^© and Enrichment classes for children ages birth to 5 years, we make the most the child's natural enthusiasm for music and learning by involving their beloved parents/caregivers as models, and by keeping things fun!

At Music Together we believe that music is as much a basic life skill as walking and talking, and that ALL children are musical! Music Together classes nurture the child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement as we sing, dance, chant, laugh, and play instruments in an informal setting that is as comfortable and fun for the adults as it is for the kids.  Central to the Music Together approach is that young children learn best through the powerful role model of parents/caregivers who are making music. We don't expect the kids to 'participate', rather we provide a musically-rich environment where children are free to explore and experiment as they journey through the process of music development.

Our new Enrichment Classes are filled with age-appropriate activities inspired by the current Music Together collection. We'll meet Illinois Early Learning Standards through story time, large and small motor activities and an art/craft project. Parents stay for this interactive 45-minute class and enjoy this time with their child(ren). Classes are designed so that parents can take Music Together and Enrichment classes back-to-back on the same day, or they may opt to visit us twice weekly to spread things out a bit. 

Our Big Kids Music Together and Piano Classes offer a wonderful way for kids 4-7 to stay in the play loop AND begin building the foundations of formal music education. Central to our philosophy is the clear knowledge that music is a joy-filled, expressive process. Learning is always fun when each child's learning style is honored; here we teach music by playing, jumping, singing, listening, observing, creating, and laughing. :)
